Escapes to Cowplain

Created by Chris 3 years ago
Alan’s father was my father’s brother and while neither were very strict, in the 1960s when we were growing up, family visits tended to be somewhat formal and strained affairs, but escapes to Grandma and Grandad’s were much more relaxed. I guess Grandmas always tend to spoil thier grandchildren. Whether we were in Guidlford Cosham or Cowplaion it was always Alan who had the witty comment and took the lead in bringing humour to any family gathering - perticularly when things were a bit sticky. We had a lot of laughs in the huge garden at the back of the bungalow in Hart Plain Avenue. I cannot be with you all tomorrow but I will be logging on from the other side of the world and remembering childhood mischief. With much Love, Chris Wells
